PORT ANGELES — A flagger suffered minor injuries after being struck by a construction vehicle on Lake Farm Road east of Port Angeles, the State Patrol said.
At 2:10 p.m. Wednesday, a construction vehicle at the intersection of Lake Farm Road and westbound U.S. Highway 101 struck and injured Helen M. Kimsey, 50, of Tahuya, who was working as a road flagger, the State Patrol said.
She was transported to Olympic Medical Center in Port Angeles for treatment of a broken wrist, according to Trooper Gill Vandenkooy, State Patrol public information officer.
Gabriel Divelbiss, 30, of Bonney Lake was backing the construction vehicle when it hit Kimsey, the State Patrol said.
Troopers said the cause of the incident was inattention. No citation was issued.
