Flags deadline for Veterans Day at Port Angeles Coast Guard station set

PORT ANGELES — The deadline is Thursday, Nov. 7, for veteran organization flags that are to be displayed during the Veterans Day ceremony at the Port Angeles Coast Guard station.

The Clallam County Veterans Association (CCVA) is sponsoring the regional 2019 Veterans Day ceremony at Coast Guard Air Station/Sector Field Office Port Angeles at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 11.

All veteran organization flags to be displayed at the event must be delivered to the Clallam County Veterans Center at 216 S. Francis St. between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Thursday, said organizer Jeff Reyes.

The flags will be delivered to the Coast Guard station and can be picked up immediately following the ceremony, Reyes said.

No flags will be accepted at the base gate.

Those unable to coordinate with the specified time are asked to contact Reyes for alternate instructions. He can be reached at 360-797-1791.
