COUPEVILLE — There will be field carrier landing practice operations for aircraft stationed at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island at Ault Field night to late night Monday and Tuesday.
Practice also will occur Wednesday night.
Operations will continue early to midafternoon Friday.
Aircraft carrier-based flight training also will occur at the Outlying Field midafternoon to early evening and night to late night Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
Training also has been set for midafternoon to early evening Wednesday.

School supply drive ongoing
PORT ANGELES — First Federal began accepting basic school supply donations at area branches July 1.
The supply drive dubbed “America’s Promise” will be fielding donations until Friday, Aug. 17.
Supplies including — but not limited to — paper, pencils, school glue, scissors and notebooks can be dropped off at Red Wagons at participating branches.
All donations will be given to area charities to provide children in preparation of the school year.
