Vaccines for people at high-risk of contracting influenza — commonly called the flu — are now available at various community agencies and stores in Clallam and Jefferson counties.
Delays in delivery and concerns of vaccine shortages have officials from the state Department of Health strongly encouraging healthy people to wait until later in the year to get a flu shot.
“Most clinics have received only partial donations of the vaccine,” Department of Health Health Educator Cindy Gleason said.
“We expect to have enough flu vaccine to meet state program needs.”
