FORKS — An Alaskan musher will be in town April 14 to talk about sled dog racing in the icy tundra.
Doug Ruzicka, who leads sled dog expeditions into the Alaskan wilderness, will bring his lead dog, Dave, with him during a presentation scheduled for 7 p.m. in the Forks Elementary School gymnasium, 301 S. Elderberry Ave.
In addition to the public presentation, Ruzicka will talk to elementary school students during assemblies.
Ruzicka, who lives in Anchor Point, Alaska, will also talk about the most famous sled dog race — the Iditarod Trail International Sled Dog Race, which occurs each March.
