FORKS — Police have identified a body found in a creek last week as a 19-year-old man from Forks.
David W. Davis was described by Forks police Wednesday as “kind of a transient” who occasionally lived with family members.
Following tips from family members who suspected that the man might have been Davis based on physical description, police confirmed Tuesday evening that fingerprints from the body match Davis’ prints on file with the state.
Police were still awaiting blood screen results from the Washington State Toxicology Lab to determine if Davis had anything “out of the ordinary” in his system that might explain his cause of death, Forks Police Chief Mike Powell said Wednesday.
