FORKS — The Forks Hospital Foundation has donated $34,000 to Forks Community Hospital for the purchase of arthroscopy equipment to be used in orthopedic surgery.
The equipment will allow orthopedic surgeons to do shoulder and knee surgery in Forks.
The purchase includes the actual instruments to do the surgery, plus a camera and video equipment allowing the surgeon to “see”‘ the area in the joint.
Orthopedic surgeons Drs. Regina McGovern and Tristan McGovern, who have done the procedures in Port Angeles, will now offer them in Forks.
