HOQUIAM — A 79-year-old Forks man died in a single-car rollover crash north of Hoquiam on Sunday, the State Patrol said.
Daryle Allen Jacobson was traveling north on U.S. Highway 101 when the 1997 Honda Accord he was driving left the roadway, rolled and came to a rest on its top, troopers said in a Monday report.
The State Patrol said that Jacobson was not wearing a seat belt.
Trooper Chelsea Hodgson, State Patrol spokeswoman, said the cause of the crash remained under investigation Tuesday.
An autopsy was scheduled to be performed in Grays Harbor County on Wednesday to determine the cause and manner of Jacobson’s death, the (Aberdeen) Daily World reported.
The wreck occurred at about 5:53 p.m. Sunday near milepost 137 in northwest Grays Harbor County, about 48 miles north of Hoquiam.
The car was totaled and impounded.
