PORT ANGELES — A 42-year-old Forks man will be tried in June for allegedly threatening to kill a judge.
Robert L. Kenney pleaded not guilty Friday in Clallam County Superior Court to three counts of intimidating a judge and three counts of harassment with threats to kill.
A two-day trial will begin June 20.
According to court documents, Kenney wrote on his Facebook page that he wanted to kill an unnamed judge, identified by police as Clallam County Superior Court No. 2 Judge Eric Rohrer; an unidentified prosecutor; and people at a medical clinic and state Department of Social and Health Services.
The post was made Feb. 14 and remained on his Facebook page as of Saturday.
During an interview with police in February, Kenney said he would kill the interviewing officer, Judge Rohrer and others if he had a terminal illness, according to a police probable-cause statement.
Then, in March, an inmate at Forks jail told police that Kenney said he would kill Rohrer and the prosecutor when released, according to court documents.
Kenney was a Forks jail inmate at the time.
He was being held in Clallam County jail Saturday.
