FORKS — With the Quillayute Valley Scholarship Auction only three days away, organizers said planning is in full swing and they expect a “positive” turnout for the annual event.
The auction raises scholarship money for graduates of Forks High School and seeks to top last year’s total of $87,722.
“I think things are coming together nicely,” said Chelsea McGee, a high school senior and co-chair of the auction.
“We have had a lot of radio ads and have a lot of positive feedback from the community.”
This year there are 84 students in the senior class, many of whom will earn scholarships as a result of the auction.
McGee said she expects items to be donated throughout the event, which begins Saturday morning and ends Sunday evening.
