FORKS — The Fourth of July traditionally is festival time in Forks, and Thursday’s event was no different as America celebrated its first birthday since the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
The nation’s colors were everywhere at the Grand Parade of the three-day Forks Old Fashioned 4th of July festival.
Flags fluttered proudly from every possible platform as more than 100 entries made their way along the 1.5-mile parade route.
Skies looked threatening during the procession, but they didn’t produce a single drop of rain.
Marchers, riders and viewers wore the red, white and blue on shirts and blouses, hats and neckerchiefs.
