FORKS — Clallam County Public Utility District is soliciting bids for a nearly $550,000 electrical substation equipment replacement project.
The PUD is seeking a contractor to replace the aging equipment as well as perform other restorative work to the substation.
“Much of this equipment is older than I am,” Project Manager Doug Adams said.
The scope of work includes installing new conduits, replacing infrastructure, material acquisition and concrete work.
No scheduled outages will be required for the work to be done, lessening the impact on Forks utility customers.
The bid is open until April 27.
