FORKS — Clallam County deputies have identified a man they believe may be involved in the stabbing death of a Perete Gonzales Ciro.
A first-degree murder warrant was issued Wednesday for Salvil Perete-Lopez, a 22-year-old Mexican national.
Deputies said Perete-Lopez has been identified by witnesses as the man who stabbed two of the four Salvadoran men wounded late Saturday.
One of those victims, 25-year-old Ciro of Forks, died.
Another victim, 31-year-old Enrique Hernandez Ledezma, is still recovering at Harbor Medical Center in Seattle.
Chief Deputy Fred DeFrang said the investigation has been hampered because many of those involved in the stabbing are illegal aliens unwilling to help detectives.
DeFrang said some have even given police contradictory and confusing stories.
