PORT ANGELES — We the People of Clallam County’s listening sessions for candidates for the Charter Review Commission continue with the next one set for Friday.
The session will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Makah Tribal Marina, 1321 Bayview Ave., Neah Bay.
During the Nov. 5 general election, five people from each of Clallam County’s three districts will be elected to serve on the 15-person Charter Review Commission, which will propose amendments to the Clallam County Charter that voters can then vote on.
We the People forums have been held all over the county. Listening sessions have been conducted in Port Angeles, Clallam Bay, Forks and Joyce.
Charter Review Commission candidate Therese Stokan and organizers of the forums said in an email that all candidates have been invited to attend any and all listening sessions.
During the first hour of each of the forums, the public will have an opportunity to speak.
During the second hour, candidates will introduce themselves and may share ideas.
All of the forums will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Here are the remaining forums:
• Oct. 10: Elwha Klallam Heritage Center, 401 E. 1st St., Port Angeles.
• Oct. 17: Jamestown S’Klallam Tribal Community Center, 1033 Old Blyn Highway, Sequim.
• Oct. 18: Quileute Tribal Administration, West Wing Room, 90 Main St., La Push.
