Forums set for mobile health clinic

PORT TOWNSEND — Jefferson Healthcare will conduct a series of community forums regarding the planned development of a new mobile health clinic.

The proposed clinic is designed to improve access to care for residents of East Jefferson County, especially the more remote areas.

Current plans are centered around using the mobile clinic as an extension of the dental care program that is currently only available in Port Townsend.

The Port Townsend-based dental clinic saw 5,670 patient visits during 2023.

Other services that are currently under consideration for the mobile clinic include vaccinations, primary care, behavioral health and financial counseling.

Jefferson Healthcare will conduct forums to solicit input regarding the needs of community members at:

• 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Quilcene Community Center, 294952 U.S. Highway 101, Quilcene.

• 5:30 p.m. July 11 at the Brinnon Community Center, 306144 U.S. Highway 101, Brinnon.

• 5:30 p.m. July 17 at the Jefferson County Library, 620 Cedar Ave., Port Hadlock.
