PORT ANGELES — A dozen school projects received $12,500 in awards from the Port Angeles Education Foundation’s School and Teacher Grants program.
They range from a camp to prepare kindergartners for school to a music computer program.
“The Port Angeles Education Foundation’s School and Teacher Grants are intended to promote creativity, innovation and excellence in and around the classrooms of Port Angeles public schools,” said Chris Riffle, allocations committee chair.
“We received a large number of applications this year — all seeking funding for worthwhile projects, activities and needed equipment.
“While selecting from these well-qualified applications was challenging, it was exciting to see the creativity, dedication and collaboration between teachers, parent groups and administrators,” Riffle said.
“We are honored to be part of the educational process and look forward to our continued partnership with the Port Angeles School District.”
