Four-car collision slows Sims Way traffic in Port Townsend

PORT TOWNSEND — A four-vehicle traffic collision in the 1900 block of Sims Way slowed traffic for nearly an hour this afternoon.

One person suffered minor injuries in the 1:25 p.m. wreck, said Bill Beezley, East Jefferson Fire Rescue spokesman.

The person was not identified.

A green Ford Taurus wagon driving northbound on Sims Way hit the back of a green Geo Prism, Beezley said.

The Prism struck a blue Chevrolet Volt, which then struck an All-City Auto Body flatbed tow truck which had been waiting to make a left turn across traffic, Beezley said.

The front seat passenger in the Volt was transported to Jefferson Healthcare hospital in Port Townsend with minor injuries, Beezley said.

Northbound traffic was slowed back to Mill Road.

The Port Townsend Police Department was investigating.
