QUILCENE — Four people were taken to a hospital after a Port Angeles driver crossed the centerline and slammed into an oncoming car at state Highway 104 and Center Road at 12:31 p.m. Thursday, the State Patrol said.
Trever L. Gallauher, 44, was traveling westbound on Highway 104 at Center Road with passenger Rebecca M. Martinez, 43, of Belfair when he “lost control, crossed the centerline and struck vehicle two head on,” according to a State Patrol memo.
He hit a Suburu Outback driven by Judith A. Beard, 73, of Sequim, carrying Russell D Beard, 76, also of Sequim.
Gallauher’s pickup came to rest blocking both lanes of Highway 104, while Beard’s car landed on its top in the eastbound ditch.
Gallauher, Martinez and both Beards were taken to St. Michael Medical Center in Silverdale.
Their conditions were not available on Thursday or Friday.
Gallauher was cited for second-degree negligent driving.
Neither drugs nor alcohol were involved, troopers said.
All four were wearing seatbelts.
Both vehicles were completely destroyed, the State Patrol said.
