PORT ANGELES — Olympic National Park will waive entrance fees for all visitors today and Monday in honor of active-duty military and veterans.
“We are grateful for the service and sacrifice of our veterans and servicemen and -women,” said Acting Superintendent Todd Suess before the fee-free weekend began Saturday.
“We invite to you enjoy Olympic National Park, one of our country’s national treasures, during this holiday weekend of reflection and gratitude.”
Olympic National Park is joining national parks throughout the country in waiving entrance fees.
Entrance-fee waivers during the holiday weekend apply to all public lands managed by the federal government.
Park visitors are reminded that the fee-free designation applies to entrance fees only and does not affect fees for camping, reservations, tours or use of concessions.
