PORT ANGELES — Anyone who writes poetry — or has ever thought of writing any kind of verse — is encouraged to join facilitators Alice Derry and Kate Reavey for a free workshop at the Elwha Heritage Center, 401 E. First St., on Tuesday (Nov. 26).
The session from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. will be hosted by Poetic Blood Quantum, a group of writers who belong to the Lower Elwha Klallam, Makah and other Northwest tribes.
All participants are welcome.
Reavey and Derry, both of whom have taught poetry and writing at Peninsula College, will offer generative ideas and create an atmosphere conducive to putting words on paper.
The workshop is limited to 20 people, so advance reservations should be made by phoning the Heritage Center at 360-417-8545.
