This week’s schedule of free public music on the North Olympic Peninsula:
■ SEQUIM — Saturday (Sept. 14), 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Olympic Express Big Band (big-band swing, standards, Dixieland).
The band will play during a book sale at the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave., using the outdoor stage behind the library.
Seating is available in bleachers. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs for additional seating.
This is a makeup concert. The band was rained out of its Summertime Music Outdoors concert behind the library in August.
■ SEQUIM — Sunday (Sept. 15), 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., joint concert by the Sequim City Band and the Port Townsend Summer Band (standards, Broadway and movie favorites, marches).
The bands will play at the outdoor James Center for the Performing Arts amphitheater at the Sequim Water Reuse Park, 563 N. Rhodefer Road, just north of Carrie Blake Park.
Bring your own seating to the grassy expanse, plus family and a picnic.
