PORT ANGELES — Clallam Transit is celebrating the retirement of General Manager Kevin Gallacci after 39 years with the agency with an open house at its offices at 830 W. Lauridsen Blvd. from noon to 3 p.m. Friday.
Gallacci began working in the maintenance department of Clallam Transit during the summer between his first and second year studying diesel mechanics at Peninsula College. He was soon hired as a full-time employee and rose to maintenance supervisor, then to maintenance manager and in 2017 to general manager.
Clallam Transit employs more than 90 people and provides fixed route, paratransit, rideshare and on-demand transportation services to county residents, as well as a shuttle to Hurricane Ridge during the summer.
