PORT ANGELES — Deadline is Tuesday, Feb. 12, to order native plants through Clallam Conservation District’s annual Native Plant Sale.
The bare-root tree and shrub seedlings are sold in bundles of 10 and 25 and range in price from $15 to $25 per bundle.
Conifer trees remaining include Douglas fir, grand fir, shore pine, Sitka spruce, and western red cedar; deciduous trees include big leaf maple, Pacific crabapple, red alder, Rocky Mountain maple and vine maple; deciduous shrubs include blue elderberry, indian plum, mock orange, ninebark, Nootka rose, red elderberry, red flowering currant, red osier dogwood, and twinberry; and evergreen shrubs include tall Oregon grape.
The Conservation District conducts the annual plant sale to provide affordable native plants for wildlife habitat enhancement and environmentally friendly home or office landscaping.
Plants will be available for pick-up at Lazy J Tree Farm, 225 Gehrke Road, Port Angeles, on March 2.

Orders will only be taken through Feb. 12.
