Clallam County Auditor Cathleen McKeown said that ballot returns in the Nov. 8 general election as of Thursday were at 14.49 percent, with 6,333 of 43,713 ballots returned.
The fourth-day return is better than the fourth-day return percentage during the November 2003 election (12.22 percent), but below return percentages of the November 2004 election (19.05 percent) and November 2002 election (15.43 percent).
Voters in Clallam County have until 8 p.m. Nov. 8 to return their ballots by mail or in person to the Clallam County Courthouse, Forks District Court lobby or Sequim Motor Vehicle Licensing Office.
