Clallam County Auditor Cathleen McKeown said that ballot returns as of Tuesday were at 8.63 percent with 3,786 of 43,886 ballots returned.
Voters in Clallam County have until 8 p.m. Nov. 8 to return their ballots.
Ballots postmarked by Nov. 8 also will be counted in the general election.
There are 14 contested races in Clallam County on the general election ballot, including three races for Port Angeles City Council and two races for Port Angeles School Board.
