PORT ANGELES – Sixteen German students are visiting Port Angeles for the next several weeks in the German American Partnership Program’s second – and last – student exchange.
The students and two teachers arrived in Port Angeles on Sunday after a 17-hour flight.
The group will stay three weeks with host families.
This summer, Port Angeles students will travel to Prien, Germany – in the state of Bavaria – where they will stay for three weeks.
This is the last year that the two schools will swap students, because it is the last year of the German language program at Port Angeles High School.
The program will be discontinued next school year.
