The weather forecasters call for more of the same — fog and overcast — over much of the lowland North Olympic Peninsula tonight.
But if miracles should occur and the Peninsula has clear skies to the north, tonight provides a good opportunity to see the Northern Lights because of recent eruptions on the sun that foster such magnetic disturbances in the atmosphere.
Port Angeles native Scott Sistek, who’s with our news partner, KOMO, in Seattle, has a great blog on the possibility tonight: http://www.komonews.com/weather/blog/99868049.html .
