PORT ANGELES — The Clallam County Opportunity Fund Advisory Board will discuss a $295,000 grant for the City of Forks during a special meeting at 1 p.m. Thursday.

The grant would provide supplemental funding for the Forks wastewater treatment facility project.
The project will help prevent catastrophic failure of the wastewater system, increase treatment capacity and prepare for expansion of the city sewer system.
The city previously received an opportunity fund grant for $2,375,610 in 2021 for the project, which it matched with $1,023,500 in city funds.
The board will make a recommendation regarding the grant to the Clallam County Board of Commissioners, which has the authority to approve the grant.
