PORT ANGELES — St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church will host its annual blessing of the animals at 2 p.m. Sunday.
The blessing will be at The Gateway transit center at the corner of Front and Lincoln streets.
All creatures “great and small” are invited, the church said.
Dog and cat treats will be provided, and prayers will be given for animal companions.
The event is free, but Olympic Peninsula Humane Society representatives will collect any donations at the event of pet food or non-clumping kitty litter.
The blessing of the animals is “in keeping with the celebration of creation and St. Francis’ love of animals,” the church said.
