PORT ANGELES — Healthy Families of Clallam County will host a 5K and 10K run and walk from City Pier onto the Olympic Discovery Trail at 11 a.m. Saturday.
Singles, couples and families are invited to participate in this event, a benefit for Healthy Families’ services for survivors of sexual assault, domestic abuse and neglect.
The run and walk are a new project in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October.
The advance registration fee is $35 for adults and $10 for children including a T-shirt, while families of three can sign up for $50; families of four can run and walk for $55 and families of five or more can participate for $60.
On the day of the run and walk, registration will start at 9:30 a.m., but T-shirts will only be available to runners and walkers while supplies last.
