SEQUIM – The U.S. Army’s Weapons of Mass Destruction Team plans a drill and training mission today on Sequim High School’s fields off Fir Street near Sequim Avenue, Police Chief Robert Spinks said.
The team, working with Clallam County Fire District No. 3, will fly two Chinook helicopters onto the fields around 9 a.m., Spinks said. They’re expected to fly out this afternoon.
Local law enforcement officers will be at the landing site to help with taking vehicles from the helicopters, the chief added.
Sequim High School is on spring break this week.
