PORT ANGELES — By now, Wendy Holt’s husband probably knows he has a newborn son.
But it could be several months before U.S. Marine Cpl. Michael Holt ever gets to see his baby.
And Wendy can only imagine what his reaction will be.
“I’m sure by now he’s gotten the message,” Wendy said Wednesday in her room at Olympic Medical Center. “I’m sure he’s really happy.”
As Mrs. Holt, 21, gave birth Tuesday afternoon to Matthew Aden Holt after a natural, 20-minute labor, her husband, also 21, was training at Camp Commando in the Kuwaiti desert in preparation for possible war with Iraq.
