Holiday closures across the North Olympic Peninsula:
* Government: All Washington state and Jefferson and Clallam county offices will be closed on Friday, Dec. 24, for a Christmas holiday.
Port Townsend city offices will close at noon today, and Sequim offices will be closed all day today and Friday.
There will be no mail delivery on Christmas.
Driver’s licensing offices will be closed on Christmas.
Clallam County Public Utility District offices, Jefferson County Public Utility District No. 1 office in Port Hadlock and the PUD office in Forks will all be closed on Friday.
* The PAARC free health care clinic at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 510 Park Ave., Port Angeles, will close today and remain closed until Jan. 4.
* Banks: Most banks will close two to three hours early on Christmas Eve and will be closed Christmas Day.
* Tourist activities: Port Angeles, Sequim, Port Townsend and Forks visitors centers and the Olympic National Park Visitors Center in Port Angeles will be closed on Christmas day. The Forks office will close at 1 p.m. Friday as well.
The entrance station on Hurricane Ridge Road will be staffed if the road to the ridge is opened.
Olympic Game Farm in Sequim will be closed on Christmas.
The Museum at the Carnegie Library in Port Angeles will be open Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and close Saturday.
The Jefferson County Museum in Port Townsend will be closed on Christmas .
* Ferries: Ferry schedules of the MV Coho between Port Angeles and Victoria will not change.
Washington State Ferries will run on the usual holiday/Saturday schedule on Christmas.
Low tides and ebb currents will affect Port Townsend-Keystone runs today and Friday.
From Port Townsend the 5:15 p.m. run is canceled today and the 6:45 p.m. run is canceled both today and Friday.
From Keystone the 6 p.m. run is canceled today and the 7:30 p.m. run is out on Friday.
A 6:50 p.m. run will be added from Port Townsend today, as will 7:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. runs on Friday.
An 8:15 p.m. run and a 9:30 p.m. run from Keystone will be added on Friday.
The Seattle-Bainbridge route and the Edmonds-Kingston route will operate Christmas Eve on the holiday/Saturday schedule, adding a 7:55 a.m. departure from Bainbridge Island to Seattle.
The 6:30 a.m. run and the 7:55 a.m. run from Edmonds and the 5:50 a.m. and 7:10 a.m. runs from Kingston will be dropped on Friday, with a 10 p.m. run from Edmonds and a 9:20 p.m. run from Kingston added.
Washington ferries may add extra service, not listed in advance. To check, call 206-464-6400.
* Garbage: Pickup for residential users will be the same as usual. West Waste Transfer Station is closed on Christmas.
* Liquor stores: All state run liquor stores will be closed on Christmas Day.
* Libraries: North Olympic branch libraries, Port Townsend Library and Jefferson County Library in Port Hadlock will be closed on Friday and Christmas Day.
The Port Townsend Library will also close at 1 p.m. today.
* Senior centers: Port Angeles Senior Center and Sequim Senior Center be closed Friday for the Christmas holiday.
Port Townsend Senior Center will close today and Friday at noon, and there will be no senior meal. The center will be closed on Christmas Day.
* Transit systems: There will be no bus service with Clallam Transit or Jefferson Transit on Christmas Day.
* Pools: The Sequim Aquatic Recreation Center will be closed on Friday and Christmas Day, and William Shore Memorial Pool in Port Angeles will be close at 3 p.m. on Friday and be closed on Christmas Day. William Shore will have additional open swims over the holidays when school is out.
The Port Townsend Municipal Pool will close at 2 p.m. on Friday and remain closed on Christmas.
* PDN: The Port Angeles, Port Townsend and Sequim advertising and business offices of Peninsula Daily News will be closed on Friday.
