PORT ANGELES — Entries are sought for the second annual Light the Night holiday parade in downtown Port Angeles.
The parade is Saturday, Dec. 2, at 6:30 p.m., with set-up beginning at 5:45 p.m. on Railroad Avenue.
It is sponsored by the Port Angeles Downtown Association.
Businesses, individuals, school classes, service and social clubs and other organizations are invited to join this illuminated holiday event.
There’s no charge.
Participants will march with lanterns and luminaries using glowsticks, strings of battery-operated holiday lights and flashlights — no open flames, please.
Light-decorated vehicles and floats are welcome to join the procession.
“We are in the process of confirming the parade route with the city of Port Angeles, [but] we are anticipating a much longer parade route that will travel through more of the downtown this year and thus give more people a chance to participate as well as enjoy the parade,” the downtown group said in a statement.
To get a parade entry application and reserve your spot in the line-up, contact the downtown association at 360-457-9614, or e-mail director@portangelesdowntown.com.
