SHINE – The Hood Canal Bridge will be closed to vehicular traffic several times tonight, with each closure lasting for up to an hour.
The state Department of Transportation announced the closures this afternoon.
Between 9 p.m. tonight and 4 a.m. Friday, construction crews working to replace mechanical components of the Hood Canal Bridge drawspan will close it to traffic several times for up to an hour with each closure.
To help traffic moving, the bridge will reopen to vehicles for at least 30 minutes between each closure, Transportation said.
Construction crews are replacing mechanical components of the drawspan.
