Early-morning travelers on Thursday, Nov. 10, might want to avoid state Highway 104 and the Hood Canal Bridge.
Maintenance work will require drawspan openings and highway closures lasting up to 90 minutes, according to the state Department of Transportation.
Work hours are scheduled from midnight to 4 a.m. Crews will be testing the electrical and mechanical systems that work the bridge drawspan assembly.
The work ill require a series of drawspan openings regardless of the weather. Transportation officials suggest motorists consider delaying their trip or plan an alternate route using U.S. Highway 101 along Hood Canal.
