The Hood Canal Bridge will be reduced to one lane controlled by flaggers for much of the day Wednesday so work crews can inspect lights on the floating span.
The single-lane restriction will last from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the state Department of Transportation said.
Inspection and replacement of luminaries that light the road deck is done annually and is not part of the widening project under way on the west end of the bridge, a Transportation spokesman said.
Latest information on traffic conditions on the bridge is available on the Internet at www.wsdot.wa.gov/traffic/hoodcanal or by calling 800-695-7623.
