OLYMPIC NATIONAL PARK – The ski and snowplay area at Hurricane Ridge is due to be open today, said Barb Maynes, Olympic National Park spokeswoman.
Tickets for the ski lifts will be sold inside the Hurricane Ridge Visitor Center, since the ticket booth was damaged in a Dec. 3 storm.
All other services will be available, including the snack bar and 90-minute snowshoe walks, which start at 2 p.m.
A total of 18 inches of new snow was added Sunday to a 70-inch base.
The road can be closed at any time due to inclement weather, Maynes said.
