SEATTLE — The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for near-record high temperatures in the Seattle-Tacoma-Everett area and on the eastern portion of the Kitsap Peninsula.
Forecasters say the highs this afternoon and Thursday afternoon could hit the 90s in those areas.

The Weather Service says the warm spell will come to an end Thursday night as moist Pacific air surges inland.
