TWO PHOTOS SHARED by PDN reader Jim Wood in Sequim (jimwoodphotos.com; 907-230-2025), with this note:
“My wife and I took a Protection Island Puffin Cruise Friday night, sponsored by the Audubon Society. It was the first time we had ever gone out to Protection Island since we moved to Sequim from Alaska two years ago.
“It was a beautiful evening with smooth water, and the high cirrus clouds made for a perfect visit to Protection Island, but that was only the beginning.
“Once we arrived back at John Wayne Marina we experienced one of the most spectacular sunsets we have ever seen. The water reflected the sky as the people at the marina stood in awe.”
After living in Alaska for over 40 years, we’re finding Sequim to be the perfect alternative. To quote my wife, ‘In Sequim, the living is easy.”’
