PORT TOWNSEND — The man accused in the 1992 stabbing death of 15-year-old Allison Tornensis of Quilcene will have a second mental evaluation, this time at Western State Hospital in Steilacoom.
Robert Froehlich, 28, awaits transport to the hospital for a 15-day evaluation for competency and mental disability.
Gerald Barnhart, Froehlich’s attorney, last week asked Jefferson County Superior Court Judge Tom Majhan to order the new evaluation based on his premise that Froehlich was taking prescribed medications during the initial evaluation earlier this year.
