PORT TOWNSEND – Organizers are inviting people to dive in and “Discover the Treasure” this weekend at the 2007 Jefferson County Fair.
“Discover the Treasure” is the fair’s theme this year, which takes place today, Saturday and Sunday at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds, 4907 Landes Street, Port Townsend.
Organizers expect about the same number of people this year as last year – 16,000.
But that, of course, depends greatly on the weather, said Bill McIntire, Jefferson County Fair board president.
“If you get 70 or 75-degrees, this place will be jamming,” McIntire said.
“If you get a drop of rain, sometimes no one comes.”
