CHIMACUM — For more than 300 Jefferson County residents, it’s just not Christmas without sitting elbow-to-elbow with neighbors enjoying a good hot meal.
The Tri-Area Community Center was packed Christmas with people celebrating the holiday over turkey, ham and all the fixings.
“We’ve got plenty of food,” volunteer Luigi Smith said. “Some people have gone back for thirds or fourths.”
Each plate overflowed with traditional holiday delights — all of the food donated and prepared by volunteers.
Chef A.J. Wheeler, a caterer from Poulsbo, directed the food preparation.
