CHIMACUM — Jefferson County District Court Judge Jill Landes is in stable condition after a car crash sent her to the hospital this afternoon.
Landes was rushed by ambulance to Jefferson Healthcare hospital after being in a three vehicle collision on state Highway 19 just south of Chimacum.
Washington State Patrol Trooper Krista Hedstrom confirmed that Landes was transfered with “back and abdominal pain.”
“She was involved and she was transported to Jefferson [Healthcare],” Hedstrom said.
A spokeswoman for Jefferson Healthcare said Landes was in stable condition as of 2 p.m.
The collision occurred just before 1 p.m. and stopped traffic along the road for over an hour.
Specifics of how the collision occurred have not yet been released by State Patrol.
Landes, a former Clallam County prosecutor, was elected to the Jefferson County District Court bench in November 2006.
