Jefferson County commissioners’ Chairman Glen Huntingford has been named secretary-treasurer of the Washington State Association of Counties.
County commissioners from around the state elected Hungtingford, R-Chimacum, paving the way for him to become the association’s president in October 2006.
Huntingford was elected at the association’s annual meeting in Spokane last week.
“This position provides me the ability to influence and bring solutions to healthcare issues, insurance funding and collaboration to all counties, especially the smaller ones,” Huntingford said.
