An 18-year-old jail inmate who walked away from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office last week was still at large Monday afternoon.
Joseph Steven King, who was serving a 60-day sentence for traffic offenses, walked away from a work site at the Sheriff’s Office complex, south of Port Hadlock, on Friday evening. He is not considered to be dangerous.
Over the weekend, sheriff’s deputies and Port Townsend police officers searched for King on Larry Scott Memorial Trail in the area of Thomas Street, where King last lived.
