PORT TOWNSEND — When Jefferson Land Trust decided to hire its first paid director, leaders of the charitable trust knew what they were looking for.
They wanted someone who understood environmental issues, had management experience and, most importantly, could take the nonprofit organization to the next level.
They found Stephanie Reith.
“Our dream was to find an executive director who has the leadership ability to help Jefferson Land Trust move into a new phase of growth in our work helping the community preserve the landscape,” said Ellen Crockett, head of the search committee.
“We were thrilled to find our dream candidate in Stephanie Reith.”
Reith (pronounced ‘right’) is an environmental consultant with expertise in public information, project management and strategic planning.
Chosen from 17 applicants, she starts work June 1.
“Stephanie stood out as having the right mix of environmental background and management expertise,” said Mark Dembro, Jefferson Land Trust president.”
