PORT LUDLOW — Henry Knutsen, 82, of Port Ludlow drowned in Port Ludlow Marina on Friday afternoon, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said.
Sheriff’s deputies and two off-duty firemen rushed to the scene after a 9-1-1 call was received at 2:45 p.m.
The called reported there was an unresponsive man in the water.
They pulled Knutsen’s body out of the marina near Harbormaster Restaurant, 55 Heron Road.
Emergency response workers performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation, but all attempts to revive Knutsen failed, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Sheriff’s Office officials said they think Knutsen tripped and fell in the water.
Knutsen had a boat moored at the marina and foul play is not suspected, Sheriff’s officials said.
