COYLE — A man who successfully eluded law enforcement officers on the Toandos Peninsula late Tuesday night turned himself in to authorities Wednesday morning.
Timothy Donald Gordon, 32, surrendered to deputies at the Jefferson County Jail in Port Hadlock just after 10:30 a.m., Undersheriff Ken Sukert said Wednesday afternoon.
He was booked into jail for investigation of second-degree kidnapping, second-degree assault of a child and first-degree malicious mischief.
Sukert said the Tuesday night dragnet in the pouring rain started just after 6:30 p.m. with a 9-1-1 call from Gordon’s wife.
She alleged that he had assaulted her children, ages 11 and 15, before forcefully putting her in a car and driving her away, according to Sukert.
Gordon is also accused of causing a “significant” amount of damage to the home during the incident, Sukert said.
