Filing for fall elections begins in earnest Monday in the auditor’s office of the Jefferson County Courthouse.
Ten positions — including a county commissioner seat and sheriff — are up for grabs.
The filing period lasts throughout next Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the courthouse, 1820 Jefferson St., Port Townsend.
Overall, there are eight county and two public utility district seats on the ballot in September.
So far, five of those races appear to be contested.
